Brazilian Drainage Massage is a massage technique that’s starting to make a name for itself around the world. This method has its roots in Brazil, and is characterized by a more tonic approach to lymph stimulation than classical lymphatic drainage.
The classic method was developed in the 1930s by Danish doctor Emil Vodder. This is a manual lymphatic drainage method based on gentle, rhythmic movements. Gentle pressure is exerted all over the body to reactivate circulation by manually directing lymphatic fluid.
Brazilian draining massage is a variant of traditional lymphatic drainage (Vodder). Performed exclusively on the body, it is based on a succession of rapid, firm movements.
It improves the lymphatic and blood systems by acting directly on the network of vessels. Its action promotes toxin elimination and accelerates metabolism. This massage technique improves lymph circulation by stimulating specific points and maneuvering along the large lymphatic vessels. Faulty lymph circulation exposes the body to a variety of problems, both aesthetic and in terms of health and well-being.
Excess fluid not eliminated properly accumulates, causing tissue engorgement and swelling. This phenomenon is at the root of the well-known problem of heavy legs.
It can also lead to watery cellulite, stretch marks and premature aging of the skin. When lymph nodes become blocked, we speak of lymphedema.
It can occur spontaneously, or more often after surgery. When lymphatic circulation is impaired, the immune system is weakened, directly exposing the body to infection. The Brazilian approach is characterized by energetic, sustained movements and drainage of the entire body.
It’s an ideal method of detoxification and self-regeneration, with an IMMEDIATE effect. This trendy draining massage is as gentle as it is dynamic.
The aim of this training course is to help you understand and learn the fundamental principles of Brazilian drainage and its importance for your health.
