Naturopathy

Naturopathy

Using natural care methods that activate self-healing processes, naturopathy helps boost your vitality and immunity. The body regains its natural functioning and strength in order to manage the stressful situations you face daily. Coming from a very ancient medicine, naturopathy acts on the terrain and causes of the disease, providing relief in many situations. The quality of life improves on a physical, energetic and psycho-emotional level. This approach, which is deployed in partnership with the therapist, allows you to become an actor/actress in your health again.

Preserve health

A natural and living diet, regular physical activity, a satisfying social and emotional life, the ability to manage emotions and conflicts, the possibility of carrying out projects that are important to us and following our “inner voice”, as well as contact with nature will promote a healthy mind in a healthy body.

Health, a fragile balance

The pace of life, diet, pollution, stress, etc. combined with the particular weakness of each person’s terrain, can create imbalances that will manifest themselves in various ways: fatigue, sleep and eating disorders, hormonal or immune imbalance, pain, sterility, chronic and degenerative diseases, etc.

The body, the psyche and the Soul being closely linked, illness can arise when an emotional wound or a difficult situation affects us over a more or less long period. Thus the body expresses in symbolic form, a malaise of psycho-emotional origin.

5 principles of naturopathy

Hygienism

It is the hygiene of life through different natural health techniques (see below)

Vitalism

Evaluate and support each person’s vital energy

Humorism

Considering health through the humors (liquids) that make up 70% of our body

 Causalism

Find the cause of the symptom or disease, which are only expressions of deeper disorders

Individualization

 Adapting care to each individual

Naturopathy uses a wide variety of techniques to improve health and always uses them within the framework of a specific objective: detoxification, revitalization, stabilization or regeneration.

It was Pierre Valentin Marchesseau who was at the origin of this classification of the tools used by the naturopath. These techniques will be used during the 4 naturopathic cures:

  • The detoxification cure (detox)
  • The revitalization treatment (fills in deficiencies)
  • The stabilization cure
  • The regeneration cure

Their primary aim is to place human beings in their natural environment so that they can recharge, energize, and vitalize themselves.

The 3 pillars of naturopathy, considered necessary and sufficient for maintaining health are:

Bromatology (food)

Feel good about yourself. Provide all the nutrients

Kinesilogy

Feel good in your body (yoga, gymnastics, bodybuilding, dancing, stretching, swimming, etc.)

Psychology

Feeling good about yourself and others (relaxation, stress management, etc.)

But often, the practitioner will use other so-called secondary techniques:

  • Hydrology  (use of cold or hot water or alternating, shower, bath, hammam, sauna, etc.)

  • Chirology: Manual techniques

The naturopath can offer wellness massages  and manipulations  promoting blood and lymph circulation  in order to  dislodge toxins and help to let go and relax,  an essential principle in  the detox cure in particular. Also reflex techniques (targeted on the foot (plantar reflexology), ear, nose and back.

  • Pulmonology  : Breathing techniques (inspired by yoga)
  • Phytology  : Plants and essential oils (phytotherapy/aromatherapy)
  • Magnetology  Energy techniques (magnetism, magnet)
  • Actinology  : Vibrational techniques (music, color, etc.)
